Technical Translation Services

Engineering, manufacturing, and industrial documentation translated by specialists, not generalists.

Alafranga delivers technical translation services for engineering, manufacturing, and industrial documentation across 40+ languages, with Turkish as our founding language. Active since 2002, ATC member since 2007, ISO 17100 audited by Bureau Veritas.

Technical translation is not a language task, it is an engineering task delivered in another language. Documentation that describes machinery, controls automated systems, or governs installation and maintenance procedures carries operational, safety, and liability consequences. At Alafranga Language Solutions, we deliver technically precise translations with structured QA, terminology governance, and workflow discipline, for engineering teams that cannot afford interpretation risk.

Need the translated document typeset and print-ready?
We offer DTP as an integrated service alongside document translation for InDesign, FrameMaker, Word, and structured documentation formats. The translated file is returned in the original layout, with text expansion handled, fonts verified for target language character sets, and formatting consistent with the source.

Contact us to include DTP in your project. read more..

Operational and Safety Expectations

Technical content demands more than linguistic accuracy. Our workflows focus on consistency, traceability, and domain-specific output:
  • Terminology management: Client glossaries, product term governance, and consistency across document sets and language pairs
  • Structured QA checks for critical items: Values, units, tolerances, warnings, safety notices, symbols, and cross-document consistency
  • Style and compliance alignment: Technical register, regulatory conventions, CE and ISO documentation standards where applicable
  • Change-friendly delivery for ongoing updates: Versioning logic, translation memory reuse, and controlled edits across product lifecycles
▮What We Translate
We support engineering and manufacturing organisations across a wide range of technical content, including:
  • Machinery and equipment manuals
  • Installation, operation, and maintenance guides
  • Safety data sheets and hazard documentation
  • Engineering specifications and technical datasheets
  • PLC, SCADA, and automation system documentation
  • Electrical schematics and control system documentation
  • CE technical documentation and compliance materials
  • Greenhouse climate control and agrotech system documentation
  • Software technical documentation and API references
  • Training materials for technical and operational staff
  • Technical manuals for industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment
  • FrameMaker and InDesign-based structured documentation

▮Which languages are covered for technical translation? Are Turkish translation services included?
Turkish is our founding language pair for technical translation, active since 2002. Around it, we work across 40+ languages including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, and Greek. For multilingual technical programmes requiring multiple language pairs simultaneously, we manage all pairs through a single point of contact with shared terminology governance.

Translation tools and AI workflow
Tools and AI, under our control

We work in Trados and memoQ, or in the client's own translation system, with client-specific translation memories and glossaries maintained across every project. AI drafts are produced with the whole document in view, not sentence by sentence through a machine translation API, so terminology, cross-references and tone hold from the first page to the last. We are not tied to one model: we test models on your own sample files. A named specialist reviews and approves every output.
