▮The Working Network
At the core is a group of specialists we have actually worked with — translators, editors, DTP operators, and subject-matter reviewers whose performance we know from real project delivery. Since 2009, we have issued over 9,500 purchase orders to specialists across 40+ languages. Some of these relationships span fifteen years and hundreds of projects. This is not a directory. It is an operational record.
When a project arrives that falls within this network's coverage, assignment is straightforward: we know who has handled comparable content, what their track record looks like, and whether they are available.
Candidates who complete the process enter the database as vetted applicants. They are not active suppliers until they have delivered — and been evaluated on — real work.
▮The Candidate Database
Around the working network sits a structured candidate database — built since 2009 through a six-stage online application process. Today it holds around 5,200 registered specialists across 40+ active language pairs, with growing coverage in emerging market languages across Africa, South and Southeast Asia.
The application process is not a signup form. Candidates register, complete a detailed profile covering language pairs, subject-matter specialisations, CAT tool proficiency, services, and rates — then progress through five further stages, culminating in the upload of reference documents and a signed confidentiality agreement. A test assignment is available at the final stage.

Since 2009, we have averaged around 340 applications per year. The database has grown through that consistent intake, not through bulk imports or platform integrations.
