▮L'Oréal's Requirements
L'Oréal required the localization of digital content related to its online platform and product communication. The materials included “Tech Tips” texts containing interface elements, headings, slogans, and product-related descriptions.
The project required accurate handling of UI terminology, brand language, and cosmetic product names while maintaining a fluent and engaging tone consistent with L'Oréal’s brand voice.
▮Our solution
Like many other localization projects, the multi-disciplinary skills of the translators were required for translating L'Oréal (UK) files. Tech Tips texts were about the online platform. So, the translators focused on properly identifying IU terms, headings, slogans, and descriptions. Cosmetic terminology and product names also were taken care of to avoid mistakes. Our project manager contracted a female translator who was familiar with the L'Oréal products and experienced in localization techniques. The three step QA process was put into application to deliver a fluent tone of voice. SDL Studio Trados was used to build translation memory.
▮Achievement
Our client was immensely satisfied with our on-time and proper marketing translations.
