Automotive & Mobility Translation


Alafranga has translated automotive documentation since 2002: service and repair manuals, diagnostic content, technical bulletins, supplier specifications, owner information and homologation documents, in Turkish and more than 40 languages in total. For the Turkish plant of a Japanese carmaker alone, we delivered 80 projects between 2009 and 2016.

Automotive documentation passes through a long chain: from the manufacturer to tier suppliers, dealers and workshops. A torque value, a fault code description or a part name that changes along the way leads to wrong repairs, warranty claims or recalls.

Turkey is one of Europe's major vehicle and parts producers, so much of this documentation has to exist in Turkish. The overview below shows what each document type demands.

▮Turkish in the Automotive Chain

Turkish plants and suppliers work with documents from Japanese, German, French and Korean manufacturers. Terms decided at the plant have to reach the supplier and the workshop unchanged.

We keep one glossary per client across all document types and languages, so a part named in the parts catalogue has the same name in the service manual and the training material.
