Alafranga runs translation programmes in 40+ languages, from single documents to German technical documentation delivered in eleven languages at once. Turkish is our founding language, active since 2002; every other language was added when a client needed it. Which AI tools do you use? GPT, Claude and DeepL, connected via API inside memoQ and Trados. Your translation memory and glossary are applied before the first segment is drafted, and a named specialist reviews every segment before delivery. |

How do you ensure translation quality?
Alafranga operates to ISO 17100:2015. Each file goes to a specialist in its subject, with client glossaries, translation memory and automated QA checks. Independent revision is on by default for contracts, regulatory submissions, safety-critical and medical content.

Are you certified or a member of professional associations?
Alafranga operates to ISO 17100:2015. Our workflow was certified to EN 15038:2006 by Bureau Veritas in 2012 and reissued as ISO 17100:2015 in 2015. We have been a member of the ATC and EUATC since 2007.

Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, your NDA or ours. Every linguist working on your project is also bound by confidentiality.

How do you handle data security and GDPR?

Pricing and payment
| How much does translation cost? We do not publish fixed rates. Translation is priced per word, media per minute, interpreting per hour or day, and DTP per page or hour. Language pair, subject, volume, deadline and workflow decide the price. read more.. |
Is there a minimum fee? A minimum fee may apply to very small jobs. It is stated in the quote. |
| How do you count words and repetitions? memoQ or Trados analyses your files into new words, fuzzy matches and repetitions. The full analysis report comes with the quote. |

| Do you offer discounts? Yes. CAT discounts for repetitions and matches, volume discounts, multi-language bundles, framework contracts, and rate cards for translation agencies. |
What are your payment terms? Net 30 for approved accounts, or net 45 under framework contracts. First-time and small projects are paid in advance. We invoice in EUR, GBP or USD and accept SEPA and SWIFT payments. |

| What is your typical turnaround time? It depends on the workflow. In human translation, a specialist translator handles 2,500 to 3,500 words per day, depending on the subject. In AI-assisted workflows, daily output is higher because the reviewer works from a controlled draft. For large files, several translators work in parallel on a shared translation memory. The delivery date is confirmed in the quote, before you commit. |

Will I have a named project manager? Yes. Every project has a named coordinator as your single point of contact. |
