Human translation and MTPE of AliBaba e-trade platform in English and Turkish

Our solution:  Due to the low quality of the source texts entered directly by Chinese merchants onto Alibaba's platform, machine translation (MT) performance was subpar. Our senior project manager determined that machine translation post-editing (MTPE) would be financially unviable and suggested re-translation as the best alternative. Consequently, it was advised to increase the budget for human translation, which was deemed reasonable and approved by our client.

Four translators were selected, booked, and assigned based on the financial and technical requirements of this complex localization project. Following detailed instructions, the translators applied their extensive research skills to each product and company. Their timely responses and effective teamwork ensured high-quality results. The project was closely monitored through Language Quality Assessment, demonstrating excellent adaptation by the translators.
