Turkish & Multilingual Technical Translation Agency

ATC Accredited Member · ISO 17100 certified

We started out in Istanbul in 2002 as a small translation agency focused on Turkish translation services of official documents and patents. Over the years, technical, legal, medical and media translation gradually became the core of what we do. Every language in our portfolio was added in response to the real communication and market needs of our clients.

Turkish is still at the heart of our business today. Many of the clients who initially came to us only for Turkish projects have since grown to work with us as their multilingual language partner. We now provide technical, legal, medical and media translation services in more than 40 languages, including English, German, French, Italian, Arabic, and Spanish.

We are certified to ISO 17100:2015 and audited by Bureau Veritas. Since 2007, we have been an accredited member of the ATC (Association of Translation Companies). Through Alafranga Europe Ltd., registered in London, we bring 23 years of accumulated expertise directly to our European clients.

The numbers behind our work
We have been translating since 2002. Since 2009, every project has been recorded in ]Project Open[, the project management system we run on our own servers in the EU. The figures below come from that database, as of August 2026. Work before 2009 is not included because it was not tracked in the same system.

  • 6,137 projects delivered and invoiced since 2009
  • 72 language pairs delivered, covering 31 languages
  • 9,606 purchase orders issued to translators and reviewers
  • 484 translators and reviewers paid across those purchase orders
  • More than 5,100 registered applicants, of which around 2,000 meet our current quality and rate criteria
ISO 17100:2015 ◆ ATC and EUATC member since 2007.

Turkish Technical Translation Services for Engineering

Engineering documentation has structural rules such as section hierarchies, controlled terminology, diagrams that must align with translated text, units that follow regional conventions. Technical translation is precision under structural constraint, not paraphrase. We pair this with in-house DTP (Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, AutoCAD layouts) used daily for manufacturers in automotive, energy, manufacturing and machinery, and industrial automation.

We translate installation manuals, technical specifications, CE compliance documents, datasheets, machinery catalogues, and maintenance procedures for manufacturers in energy, industrial equipment, automation, and electronic systems. Available in English-Turkish and 40+ other languages, with multi-translator real-time projects using shared translation memories to keep terminology consistent across volumes and revisions.

Turkish Legal Translation Services for Contracts

In legal work, the translation carries legal effect. What moves across is not individual words but doctrinal categories that shift through statutes, regulator practice, and case law. Turkish data protection and contract law have changed substantially since 2016. So we check terminology against the version of the legislation in force at the time of the project, rather than relying on a glossary compiled once and left alone.

We translate contracts, terms of service, compliance materials, regulatory filings, KVKK documentation (the Turkish data protection law), court submissions, and corporate governance texts for law firms and in-house legal teams. Available in English-Turkish and 40+ other languages. Confidentiality and NDA terms are part of every project workflow, not an add-on.

If the translation will be submitted to a Turkish court, notary, or public authority, a specialist translation on its own is not enough. We work with sworn translators registered in Turkey whose signature is notarised, and we can follow the apostille step where it is required. Tell us where the document is being filed and we will tell you what form it needs to take.

Turkish Medical Translation Services for Devices & Trials

A device sold in Turkey needs Turkish instructions for use and Turkish labelling. The Turkish medical device regulation mirrors MDR and IVDR, but submission runs through TİTCK, the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, and terminology follows its conventions rather than generic medical vocabulary.

We translate instructions for use, labelling, technical files, clinical trial protocols, informed consent forms, and patient information leaflets for device manufacturers, CROs, and regulatory teams. Available in English-Turkish and 40+ other languages, with terminology held consistent across studies, sites, and revision cycles.

Regulated medical content runs through our HumanExpert workflow: two independent specialists, no machine drafting.

Multilingual Localization Services for Ongoing Programs

A one-off translation ends when the file is delivered. A program does not: the same product gets revised, the same strings come back changed, and terminology has to hold across languages and across years. That is a different kind of work, and it is where most of our long relationships sit.

We have run a horticulture software and documentation program across 14 languages since 2011, and a personal protective equipment documentation program in parallel since 2012, now past 2.1 million words. Both are still active.

We manage ongoing programs for product documentation, software interfaces, e-commerce content, and regulatory materials, working inside the client's TMS where there is one, or ours where there is not.

24 years, and we still only add what a client asked for
Every service line here started with one client asking for something we did not yet do. Turkish document translation in 2002. Subtitling when a broadcaster needed it. AI-assisted workflows when clients started sending post-editing work. None of it because a market report said the category was growing.

That is a slower way to build an agency. It is also why the same clients are still here after a decade.

Turkish Web & App Localization for Software Interfaces

Software localization is not document translation, it works inside resource files, accounts for string length variation, handles right-to-left edge cases, and respects placeholder conventions that must survive every build. Turkish character behavior, sentence structure, and UI density differ from source languages. We localize inside MemoQ, SDL Trados, and Smartcat with shared translation memories, returning files build-ready.

We localize websites, mobile applications, software interfaces, in-app help, user-facing error messages, marketing landing pages, and CMS-driven content for product teams and SaaS companies. Available in English-Turkish and 40+ other language pairs, with terminology consistency maintained across product releases and feature updates.

Turkish Media Translation for Subtitles, Scripts, and AV Content

Media translation works within constraints text alone does not: reading-speed limits for subtitles, lip-sync requirements for dubbing scripts, cultural register that must match tone without breaking timing. Turkish audiences expect natural phrasing, not literal transfer. Our Alafranga Media team handles timed-text localization with dedicated subtitle and AV specialists who understand both linguistic and technical constraints.

We translate subtitles, dubbing scripts, voiceover scripts, closed captions, episode-by-episode TV series, documentaries, corporate video content, and streaming platform materials. Available in English-Turkish and 40+ other languages, delivered in industry-standard formats including SRT, VTT, EBU-STL, and TTML. Disney+ and Fox TV credits since 2021.
