English to Turkish translation of linecards of electricity and electronics component companies.

Transfer Multisort Elektronik Spç z.o.o. is one of the biggest global distributors of electronic, electromechanical, industrial automatic components as well as workplace equipment. The company employs more than 800 employees in its headquarters in Poland and subsidiaries in other countries. TME supplies several dozen thousands of companies in 140 countries and sends 5000 packages a day. 

TME's requirement

We were trusted by our customer to translate the linecards belonging to the enormous amount of companies specialized in supplying electricity and electronics components. 

Our solution

In the beginning of the project, corporate glossary, translation memory and reference materials were missing. For this reason, industry-standard glossaries, experience and understanding in electrical products and components had paramount importance in translating process. Our experienced project manager perfectly identified, booked and assigned a technical translator who had proven track record in understanding the electricity and electronics terminologies. 

For linecard translations project, English versions had to be perfectly translated into Turkish. Because, we knew by experience that each linecard TR version will be reviewed by each company's local expert. If any translation spot is detected, this could have been raised as a problem. So, this was a challenge. 

We used SDL Studio Trados as CAT tool. After translation step finished, independent technical translator reviewed whole translations segment-by-segment to deliver an accurate, complete and stylish  Turkish version. As the last step, spot-checks and final-eye were carried out by our dedicated project manager to verify the quality before delivery.

Achievement

Our customer was very satisfied linecards translations and we translated database and interface translations too. Our collaboration is active.
