Integrated Services

In practice, translation services can be combined with other services such as:

   DTP,
Voice-over,
Dubbing,
Subtitling,
Transcription, etc.

Depending on their strategy and investments, some Language Service Providers (LSPs) are able to offer Integrated Full Package Solutions.

Is this to your anvantage?

My answer is mostly Yes.

First, the communication between the LSP and other service providers will play a crucial role in project management. As your single point of contact, the responsible project manager at the LSP will manage this back-and-forth communication, ensuring your project is completed under the best terms and conditions.

Second, by assigning a single LSP to handle the full package of integrated services, you’re likely to have a team of experienced, self-proven professionals working on your project. These team members are familiar with each other, which reduces stress and allows everyone to focus on their specific roles under effective project management.

Third, LSPs often have access to global vendor pools through special contracts with partners around the world, making this option economically feasible as well.

Fourth, when you assign both translation and additional services to the same LSP, your overall budget with them will increase. As a result, you may benefit from additional discounts.

Conclusion:

Choosing a single LSP for Integrated Full Package Services will work to your advantage. Many LSPs are highly capable of managing combinations like translation + DTP or transcription + translation + voice-over. This approach can be cost-effective, save time, and reduce the extra workload on your end.
